Focus on Therapy Shifts to the Steps and Tools Website

Hi Everyone,

I am now using different websites for specific purposes.

Steps For Change (This Website)

StepsForChange.com (this website) will be associated with my YouTube channel which is also called Steps for Change.

The Steps for Change YouTube channel supports the vision of this website (StepsForChange.com) by focusing on how emotional intelligence can be increased for better relationships and more satisfying, mindful living. My intention is to develop this site during 2018 and beyond to provide courses that will dive deeper into the topics covered in the Steps For Change YouTube channel.  In particular, I’m working on a course on narcissism in an effort to be responsive to the great interest in my video “How To Speak To A Narcisssist.”  I never dreamed that over a million people would be interested in that topic.

Steps and Tools (The Newer Website)

Steps and Tools is the name of my corporation.  At the beginning of 2018 I launched a new website to focus on my therapy practice in Valencia, CA (part of the city of Santa Clarita).  I named this website after my business name:  StepsAndTools.com

You can check it out here:

StepsandTools.com  is my website focused on showing people what therapy is all about.  For most of my clients this involves regular therapy sessions in my office.  This site allows people to see how I think about common issues that arise in therapy:  anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, panic attacks, etc.  I also discuss my extensive work with couples so that people seeking couple’s therapy can get a real feel for my approach.  Steps and Tools for Emotional Intelligence -- Company Logo

Choose Your Steps Wisely

Making life changes requires effort. It's as if we all have a stack of "effort chips" that we can spend on a problem.

People who say they have "tried everything" to change usually mean that they have spent all their effort chips on the problem.

The key is to spend your effort chips strategically. When you find leverage, the problem gets fixed before your effort chips run out.

The 12 skills are about spending your "effort chips" wisely.
